Family-run since 1967, Friarwood has been bringing serious bottles to Parsons Green for over half a century. The shop has long-standing relationships with growers in Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne, and Auriane and the team are happy to talk you through anything on the shelf — whether you're after a Tuesday red or something for the cellar.

Kept by Carlos Blanco
Carlos opened Blanco & Gomez in Chelsea in the early 2000s with a simple idea: skip the big commercial labels and bring back small, family-run estates from Spain, France and Italy. Two decades on, the shop is still where locals come for the bottle no one else is pouring — and Carlos still drives out to visit every grower on the shelf.
